TANZANIA

March 26, 2022

It all started in CVS. I had one of those long receipts with the different surprise coupons. As I was reading it ready to discover my next unnecessary purchase, Jeff asked me to marry him. I said yes but not in CVS. He would have to ask me again in a more memorable location.

A couple months latter were were in no mans land in between Kenya and Tanzania in the Maasai Mara.

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people

Dubai

September 1, 2021

It was love at first sight for us in Dubai. From the moment we left the airport, Dubai was one big wow. We posted about our fantastically fun camel-riding, belly-dancing, dune-jumping adventure in the dessert. I have heard about the cultural heritage that takes you beyond the glitz into the living heart of Old Dubai. I may have mentioned, more than once, what an incredible experience seeing the Arab culture was. Now some tips, a Dubai travel guide, things to do, places to stay and more on our Dubai travel blog round-up page.

From the tallest skyscraper in the world to the ancient souks still selling their wares in tight alleyways, Dubai is a city of dichotomies in so many ways. You’ll find an immense city full of hustle juxtaposed with a peaceful oasis away from the crowds near the beach.

Although Dubai, at first glance, seems like a city centered on glitz and glam, reminiscent of Las Vegas, if you scratch under the surface, you will find a lot more than skyscrapers and shopping. I’ve created the essential travel guide to Dubai to help you navigate this vast city and have the best experience possible.

With so much to see and do I made sure to highlight the best of Dubai. There’s simply no place in the world where you can traverse the desert, ski indoors, and see some of the most original architecture.

Budapest

June 20, 2020

Budapest, the grand jewel of the Danube, is one of the most beautiful and budget-friendly capital city in Europe. The city is the paradise for those who like to explore on foot. With beautiful baroque and art nouveau buildings around every corner, you are sure to never run out of things to see here in this city. From things to do during the day, and places to go at night, here are all the information you need to have a great time in Budapest.

A city brimming with beautiful architecture, history, and unique cuisine, Budapest  (pronounced Boo-Da-Pesht, not Boo-Da-Pest) might seem intimidating to those who have never visited before.

While it’s been a favorite among Euro-travelers in the know for quite some time, the capital of Hungary is finally starting to catch the eye of adventurers from all over. And for good reason! From the thermal baths to the ruin bars to the delicious local dishes Budapest is bound to exceed all of your expectations.

Paris

From its stunning monuments and history-rich streets to its exceptional cuisine and museum culture, Paris is a destination unlike any other. The city has been drawing in travelers for centuries. Wander in and out of Parisian cafes, markets, beautiful gardens, and enjoy the romance of the city sights. After all, it's called the City of Lights and the City of Love for a reason. This ultimate Paris travel guide will help you plan an unforgettable trip, including the best places to stay, eat and see in Paris.

St. Germain is my favorite neighborhood. It is inextricably linked to the historic center of French intellectualism as Medieval Europe's center of education when Latin was still the Lingua Franca. It was also the left bank's answer to the painter's haven of Montmartre. The times have changed and while Francois Villon has long vanished from the dark riverbanks, J.P Sartre no longer keeps office hours in the local cafés, Alberto Giacometti and Samuel Beckett no longer stroll the Boulevard St. Germain and black American Jazz masters no longer haunt the late night dives, St. Germain is still blessed by a youthful energy, interesting streets and the atmosphere that accompanies a living university district
