A STUDIO IN THE GARDEN

The new 13,700SF Perkins+Will Miami Office was re-imagined to be one integrated, creative design studio.

To create a visual connection to one another and our work, which spans urban design, landscape architecture, architecture and interiors, three (3) place-making devices were used as key design elements: a modular system of storage/display/circulation that anchors the existing base building conditions, aka a Bento Box; a slanted-slatted acoustic wood ceiling plane focusing the view towards the indoor garden acts an overarching unifying element, providing visual warmth and a sense of place; and a central bar of varied programmatic functions, both front and back of house: the Idea Hub. Within the Idea Hub, collaboration rooms are modular, space-effective and activated by full height idea walls.

Supporting our multi-generational team, different styles of work are encouraged through different types of spaces, and seating choices.

Meeting the AIA 2030 Commitment, the project is tracking LEED CI V4 Gold Level and Fitwel (2 stars).
